
HEALTHY GRANOLA BREAKFAST MAKE-AHEAD RECIPE

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Here's a recipe you can prepare ahead on a weekend and enjoy during the week. Serve it with yogurt or plant based milk or for a probiotic boost serve it with Kefir and Enjoy!
Homemade Granola Recipe Healthy Nutritious and Gut Friendly
Ingredients
Oats 150g
Sunflower seeds 50g
Walnuts 100g
Pumpkin seeds 50g
Apple Sauce 150g *
Dried Coconut Chips 100g
Honey 45G
Coconut Oil 45G
Almond Flakes 30g
Raisins/ Dried Cranberries 110g
Chia seeds - 25G
Yogurt/Plant based milk/ Kefir - to serve
*Make your own apple sauce in 10mins
Use 2 medium size apples. Slice the apples into bite size pieces.
Add to pan with 3-4 tablespoons of water, let it come to boil, cover and let it simmer for 8 mins. Mash with a fork and let it cool. You have your homemade apple sauce with no sugar or preservatives!
METHOD:
STEP 1: Mix all ingredients except the chia seeds and dried cranberries/raisins.
STEP 2: Evenly spread on a tray layered with grease proof paper. Bake in a pre-heated oven at 180 Celsius for 25mins. Mix halfway through.
STEP 3: While the Granola is still warm, add in the dried cranberries/raisins and chia seeds and toss.
STEP 4: Once its cooled completely, transfer to an airtight jar and enjoy with yogurt or kefir or plant-based milk! You can also add this as crunchy toppings to your smoothie bowls or açai bowls.
